Curriculum

• Progressive: Our program is child-centered and process-oriented.
• Developmental: Our curriculum and learning materials are age appropriate.
• Interactive: Involvement leads to understanding. Our program is driven by hands-on activities and exposure trips.

Classes

Our preschool classes have teacher to student ratio is 1:4 for children 1.6 to 4.5 years old and 1:6 for children 2.6 and older. Every class has a maximum of 15  students. Nest offers the following classes:

• Sparrows Class for children ages 1.6 to 2.5 years old (the class meets three times a week with student:adult ratio of 2:1)
• Mockingbirds Class for children ages 2.6 to 3.5 years old.
• Robins Class for children ages 3.6 to 4.5 years old.
• Cardinals Class for children ages 4.6 to 5.5 years old
• Blue Jays for children ages 5.6 to 6.5 years old

• Core Curriculum
• Recognizes learning around ideas. It provides framework for linking content and process across a variety of disciplines. The theme provides coherence and focus on the accompanying activities. The curriculum enables learners to see the meaningful connections and interrelatedness across content or skill areas.
• Focuses on experiential learning. Children learn more when they are active participants in the learning process
